For my Genius Hour Project I am going to practice golf. I have been playing golf for four years now and I have recently decided that I want to play golf in college. The reason I wanted to do golf is because I want to lower my score in order to play collegiate golf. You may ask how I will be doing this well everyday. I will be either playing 9 holes, strength training, or putting/chipping practice. On the weekends, I plan on either playing 9 or 18 holes. This consistency will help continue to lower my score. To indicate success, I will be consistently shooting in the mid to low 40s. With the improvement of my short game, my overall score should go down.

My name is Kate Sakai and I am 16 years old. I have been playing golf for the past 4 years on and off but recently I have decided to take it seriously. I have always been told how many women's golf scholarships go to waste each year because there isn't a lot of girls who play golf. I have made it my goal to go to a D1 school to further my golf career.
